Do resturants ever sell shark? Im really wanting to try it before I decide to kill one, just incase...but I eat fish alot, so im pretty sure I'll like it.

they have mako stakes in restaurants but they are crazy expensive.

Just an average fisherman.

I have bought shark in the store and it never tastes as good as the one that I have caught. Maybe the freshness or the fact of eating what you catch. One way I like to cook shark is to marinade it in an Italian and herb salad dressing Then cook on grill over hickory chips brushing with a garlic and butter sauce. I have also found that sharks that give live birth have firmer meat than sharks that lay eggs.

I have tried smoked shark, tasted like smoked yellowtail (which you don't have) or smoked swordfish. It was delicious and cheaper then another smoked fish at the shop.

I have tried Leopard Shark and after hearing about the urea in the skin I bled my shark before filleting it. Turned out delicious.

I have also had Mako steaks and Thresher shark, both good.
Once tried a BBQed Batrays wing and it tasted terrible, luckily it was a small 8 lb fish so only a little was wasted.

If you know you want to eat it gut it ASAP. Then you won't have to worry about the urea
